Champagne Tasting, Yardwork, and Motorcycles

We went to a party in Illinois on Saturday with some friends. They did a "champagne tasting." Being the sheltered person that I am, I had no idea that there were other flavors of champagne. I loved the fruity ones, especially pear and apple/pear flavors. There was a dark red one that was pretty tasty, too.

We're finally getting some good weather with sun and temps in the upper 50s, lower 60s over the weekend. We spent a few hours Sunday installing paving blocks between the house and garage. We had about 2/3 of it done last weekend so on Friday when the torrential rains hit, it was nice going to the garage and not walking on the gravel/sand combo we've had there for years.

It was warm this morning (40F) so I rode my Harley to work for the first time this year! I usually get a few motorcycle commutes in in March, but the weather was weird this year. We had a bunch of snow in March. With the price of gas and my 35 miles-each-way commute, I'm glad to be on the bike. It's supposed to be near 70F for the ride home! Yay!
